Traffic improvements take root downtown

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN - The city is moving along with a plan to drastically overhaul traffic flow in Downtown Brooklyn.

Extended curbs on Henry Street are part of the city's plan to ease traffic and make the area safer for pedestrians. The extended curbs are intended to shorten the crossing distance for pedestrians and give more visibility to drivers.

The changes are later expected to be extended to neighboring areas.
