News 12 spoke to one trainer for tips to stay healthy despite weekend barbecues and the ice cream truck driving around the neighborhood.

Davine Springer says that cardio and free weights are the two most important items to check off at the gym.

He says that no matter what, it’s important for people to not get discouraged and give up if they have a few unhealthy days.
