BROOKLYN - Brooklyn commuters are facing some delays at Atlantic Terminal today as new timetables go into effect for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).

Officials say that the changes will have some temporary schedule adjustments for off-peak trains heading to and from Long Beach. They say the changes will allow prep work to begin on a construction project.

The good news is that service is expected to return to normal for those traveling on the Huntington-Port Jefferson and Montauk branches, which were also undergoing track work.
