CONEY ISLAND - Dozens of city transit workers handed out fliers Thursday at subway stations and bus stops.

TWU Local 100 workers on Coney Island are demanding the city adds $3.2 billion over the next five years to the MTA.

The plan includes billions for infrastructure repairs and the addition of more trains and buses. The group says the city, unlike New York State, isn't contributing enough.

The mayor's office told News 12 the city fully met the MTA's funding request this spring, and that the MTA is run by the state and is ultimately the state's responsibility.
