Trapped workers rescued from BK building collapse

BROOKLYN - Firefighters rescued three people out of the rubble of a building collapse in Brighton Beach this afternoon.

Officials say five people were injured when the five-story building at 2929 Brighton 5th St. collapsed. They say that firefighters pulled three workers out of the rubble, one who is listed in critical condition.

Responders say they had to use blowtorches to cut through the rubble to reach the trapped victims.

Investigators are looking into what caused the building to collapse.
