BROOKLYN - ? A judge set a trial date of Oct. 20 for Nechemya Weberman, who is accused of abusing a young girl.

Prosecutors say Weberman abused his victim for years. They say the girl was afraid to come forward because of intimidation within their tight-knit ultra-Orthodox Jewish community.

Just last month, a group of men were charged with bribery and intimidation for allegedly trying to stall the sexual abuse case.

Back in May, members of the Hasidic community turned out for a fundraiser in Weberman's defense.
