BROOKLYN - Twin brothers are facing bribery charges for allegedly offering to pay off police after one of the brothers was arrested during a traffic stop.

Police say 20-year-old Jael Sanchez was pulled over on Winthrop Street for a traffic violation. When officers approached the car, they allegedly spotted him trying to hide what was determined to be marijuana, gift cards and forged credit cards.

Officials say Sanchez offered $10,000 to officers to let him go.

When Sanchez's twin brother, Jan Sanchez, later arrived at the 71st Precinct, police say he also offered $4,000 for his brother's release.

Both men are facing bribery charges. Jael Sanchez faces additional charges for marijuana possession and possession of forged property.
