U.S. Department of Labor fines Interfaith Medical Center

BED-STUY - Interfaith Medical Center was hit with 14 violations today for not following work place health and safety standards.

The U.S. Department of Labor issued the violations. The department says the medical center failed to provide asbestos training for their staff and failed to properly label floor tiles containing asbestos.

The hospital faces roughly $48,000 in fines.
