Unemployment declines in Brooklyn

The latest unemployment numbers show that more people in Brooklyn are getting jobs. The unemployment rate for the month of June is at 6 percent,

BROOKLYN - The latest unemployment numbers show that more people in Brooklyn are getting jobs. 

The unemployment rate for the month of June is at 6 percent, which is equivalent to about 74,000 people. 

That is a slight decrease from 6.1 percent in May. 

Compared to June of last year, the jobless rate is down by 1.7 percent.
