EAST FLATBUSH - A family in East Flatbush has received a home makeover from United Cerebral Palsy of New York City.

The Francis family had an ADA platform lift installed for their 6-year-old son, Jaivaun, who has developmental disabilities and uses a wheelchair.

His family says the lift, which takes their son from the porch of their house to street level, is perfect.

United Cerebral Palsy of New York City is responsible for the no-cost makeover which also includes a redesigned bathroom to make it more wheelchair accessible. It's part of their Access to Home program.

The modifications cost $25,000.
