SHEEPSHEAD BAY - Firefighters had to quickly take down a business sign in Sheepshead Bay Wednesday after it became unhinged during the recent rainstorms.

Fire officials say the sign at the Hibachi Grill on Avenue U wasn't sturdy enough to begin with, and the steady drumbeat of rain that has washed over the region made the problem worse.

The restaurant's owner now faces several building violations.
