BROOKLYN - A group of Brooklyn urban farmers is using bionic technology to tap into its veggies.

Feedback Farms transformed an empty Boerum Hill lot into a haven for gardeners to study their peppers, tomatoes and kale to produce the best crop possible using sensors in the soil. The sensors are able to measure temperature, light and moisture.

Founders say that by keeping a close eye on each of their vegetables, they hope to find out what kind of planters work best.
