Vandals slash cars parked on Marine Park street

MARINE PARK - Residents on a Marine Park street are assessing the damage after vandals slashed tires on more than 20 cars.

Police say the vandalisms happened early Tuesday morning on Stuart Street between Avenues U and V. Car owners say the incident is unusual in their neighborhood, which has military members, cops and firefighters in the community.

However, the vandalism victims say there have been incidents in the past, like flag burnings in June. Police believe the recent case is not linked to the flag burnings.
