BROOKLYN - Drivers in Coney Island are on high alert following a car smashing spree in their neighborhood over the weekend.

According to police, between 10 and 15 vehicles had their windows shattered on West 2nd and West 3rd streets, but nothing was stolen.

Residents complain that the vandalism isn't new and that many cars had their rims stolen last year. One woman says she got rid of her vehicle after it was broken into several times.

No arrests have been made, and officers say the investigation is ongoing.
