BROWNSVILLE - A Verizon worker was killed today after being electrocuted while on the job in Brownsville.

Witnesses say the victim was suspended above the street in a bucket lift running a cable at Chistopher and New Lots avenues when a live power wire latched on to his neck, killing him.

An EMS worker says the victim's body was completely charred in the accident.
