Veterans Day ceremony held in Carroll Park

BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents celebrated Veterans Day with a ceremony in Carroll Park today. Residents turned out to say thank you to the men and women who have served our country. Members of the FDNY laid a wreath at the park's monument and a bell was tolled to honor those who lost their lives in combat.

One local veteran says the holiday helps remind him to reconnect with old war friends and pay tribute to those who have passed away.
