Veterans divided on combat troops leaving Iraq

(08/31/10) BROOKLYN - President Barack Obama is expected to announce an end to the U.S. combat mission in Iraq tonight and residents who served there have varying opinions.

News 12 The Bronx spoke with two local veterans, Jeans Cruz who was part of the combat team which helped capture Saddam Hussein, and Qtara Henry, who served two tours in Iraq.

Cruz thinks that the 50,000 troops being withdrawn is a good thing, but says the 50,000 troops staying there tells him the combat isn't really over. Henry thinks the reunion of the troops with their families is a "beautiful and wonderful thing."
