EAST NEW YORK - Surveillance video has been released of the suspect wanted for shooting a teenage girl Friday afternoon in East New York.

Police say the 14-year-old girl was hit in the leg by a stray bullet on the corner of Euclid and Sutter avenues at around 3:30 p.m. as she was walking home from school. The girl was rushed to Kings County Hospital in stable condition and is expected to be OK.

The video shows the suspect running east on Sutter Avenue, through a gas station, where he stopped and fired three to four shots in the direction of the victim.

The suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 18 and 20 years old, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants.
