BROOKLYN - Cellphone video appears to show a man violently kicking a small dog at Breukelen Ballfield Monday night.

A viewer who wished to remain anonymous sent the video to News 12. Viewer discretion is advised due to the graphic nature of the video.

The viewer says they heard a dog crying outside their apartment around 8:30 p.m.

They say the window is permanently shut, and that they could not open it to yell at the man to stop. They videotaped him kicking the dog so that someone could help identify him. The witness says they ran outside and yelled at the man, but he took off.

Police have not confirmed whether they are investigating, but the number for Crime Stoppers is 1-800-577-TIPS
