FLATLANDS - A group gathered in Flatlands on Monday night for a vigil to honor a man who was killed over the weekend.

Friends say the victim is Raphael Sanchez, 38, who was found inside a plastic storage container on Saturday.

The medical examiner has determined that the cause of death was stab wounds to the neck, with injuries to the right jugular.

Friends at the vigil say Sanchez leaves behind a 7-year-old child.

Police have arrested and charged 24-year-old Joshua Simser. They say he lives in the home where Sanchez's body was found. Authorities say Simser and Sanchez had been arguing about cigarettes.
