Vigil held for Prospect Lefferts Gardens shooting victim

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS - Residents in Prospect Lefferts Gardens gathered tonight to honor a mother killed last week in a shooting that also injured three others. The vigil was held for Fatima Gordon, 28, who was killed Thursday when shots rang out near Clarkson and Bedford avenues. Friends and family lit candles and marched through the neighborhood to denounce gun violence and call for increased police patrols.Authorities say a 13-year-old boy and two men were among the wounded.Investigators say they have identified a possible shooter, who is being sought for questioning. They also say Gordon and the boy were innocent bystanders and that one of the men was likely the intended target. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
