BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn school teacher was remembered Thursday at a vigil and viewing.

Sister Nora Ashe died in a car accident in New Jersey earlier this week after a box truck rear ended the car she was riding in. Ashe taught at St. Joseph High School in Downtown Brooklyn for 14 years.

The nun was less than a month away from celebrating her 66th birthday. Her colleagues and students say they are still in total disbelief that she's gone.

Thursday's viewing was held at St. Anthanasius Church. A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held Friday morning at 9:45 a.m. at the same location.
