Police are searching for suspects after a statue of the Virgin Mary was vandalized in Williamsburg over the weekend. According to statue owner Earnest Gentile,

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for suspects after a statue of the Virgin Mary was vandalized in Williamsburg over the weekend.

According to statue owner Earnest Gentile, someone spray-painted "castrate yourself" on the holy figure, which stands in front of his home.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
