BROOKLYN - More than 200 volunteers joined forces to build a new playground at a Brooklyn charter school.

The playground at Canarsie Ascend Charter School was built by volunteers from JetBlue, the park-building group Kaboom, and others taking part in the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.

The design of the playground is based on children's drawings created at a special design event last month.
