BROOKLYN - Some Bedford-Stuyvesant residents spent Saturday repairing a local park.

Volunteers from the organization 500 Men Making a Difference were pulling weeds and painting benches at the Herbert Von King Park.

The group is there every Saturday with a different project and organizers say they encourage anyone to come down to help out.

One volunteer told News 12 he is happy to spend time working alongside his children, while teaching them the importance of giving back to the community.
