GERRITSEN BEACH - Many residents in Gerritsen Beach are still rebuilding from damage caused by Sandy.

Volunteers have begun handing out Superstorm Sandy newsletters by We Care New York to provide residents with resource information they might not be aware of.

Each booklet contains information about everything from how to check for mold to reviewing insurance policies.

Volunteers say the newsletters will help the elderly who may not have Internet access or have anyone to help them.
