Volunteers honor MLK through community service

Volunteers in Bushwick celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service Monday.

The volunteers worked together to help give their Community Center a fresh coat of paint while painting Dr. King quotes on the walls.

BROOKLYN - Volunteers in Bushwick celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service Monday.

Around 165 volunteers from corporations, churches and schools came together as part of the Building on the Dream Weekend of Service.

The volunteers worked together to help give their Community Center a fresh coat of paint while painting Dr. King quotes on the walls.
