BROOKLYN - Earth Day has inspired a major rebuilding project at Floyd Bennett Field.

Dozens of volunteers from Home Depot and the National Wildlife Federation are restoring the Ecology Village Garden, which was damaged during Superstorm Sandy.

The garden is the site of a youth camp that lets city kids leave behind urban life for environmental workshops taught by the National Parks Service.
