Volunteers turn out to restore church's community center

Members of the 500 Men Making a Difference Organization turned out to volunteer to restore a church's community hall in honor of Dr. Martin Luther

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Members of the 500 Men Making a Difference Organization turned out to volunteer to restore a church's community hall in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The group started Friday on the community hall of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Bedford-Stuyvesant with the goal of completing the project in 72 hours.

"Yeah, it's going to be done," said one of the volunteers. "We made a dent in the first 12 hours."
