BROWNSVILLE - A vote is scheduled for tonight on a plan to move a charter school into Brownsville Academy High School.

Students chained themselves to their desks yesterday to protest the proposal.

Many people said that Brownsville Academy High School changed their lives, and noted that if the charter school moves in, it could limit the courses available at the high school.

They also say that the classrooms they have access to will drop from 34 to eight.
