Water main break floods Kensington streets

KENSINGTON - A water main break in Kensington flooded several streets today.

City officials say the flooding began at about 8:30 a.m. at East Third Street and Caton Avenue. Officials say several cars were towed away to prevent them from being damaged before the city turned off water to the area.

Workers on the scene had to wait for utility company National Grid to cap gas lines in the area before they could begin replacing pipes to get water flowing to local homes again.
