BROOKLYN - An early morning water main break left several Canarsie homes flooded with water.

The Department of Environmental Protection says a main from 1961 shut down on East 80th Street between Farragut and Glenwood roads.

Water has been restored to residents at 20 two-family homes. One resident told News 12 that the flooding was worse than what he experienced during Superstorm Sandy.
