BROOKLYN - Several streets in Borough Park were flooded Sunday morning after a water pipe burst.

The area surrounding 16th Avenue and 46th Street was blocked while the water was being shut off.

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection was on the scene to repair the pipe. A worker says the burst pipe is owned privately, not a city-owned water main.

The DEP says a business that was closed at the time is responsible for the repairs.
