Weather Update: All eyes on Sandy as weekend approaches

BROOKLYN - All eyes are on Sandy as the hurricane heads on a path toward the East Coast.

News 12 Meteorologist Stacey-Ann Gooden says the latest intensity forecast shows the storm as a Category 1 hurricane when it makes landfall Tuesday morning. The storm's center is expected to hit 150 miles south of the city, allowing for the possibility of a direct impact.

The hurricane raged through the Bahamas early this morning after leaving 21 people dead across the Caribbean.
