BROOKLYN - Residents who plan on staying local this weekend should know about some construction projects happening on the roads and rails.

The Carey Tunnel will have one tube closed throughout the weekend and will not reopen until Monday at 5 a.m. the remaining tube will take on two-way traffic. Since this closure will be round-the-clock during the weekend, drivers should expect delays on the BQE.

The Brooklyn Bridge will be closed during the overnight hours this weekend for Manhattan-bound traffic. Drivers who are traveling during the late-night hours should give themselves addition time.

Alternate side of the street parking rules will be in effect on Saturday citywide.

As for mass transit, widespread track work could affect commutes.
