Weiner's resignation welcome news to many BK residents

SHEEPSHEAD BAY -  Many of Rep. Anthony Weiner's (D-N.Y.) constituents in Brooklyn are backing his decision today to resign from Congress amid a sexting scandal.

While many residents in Sheepshead Bay say they still respect Weiner for his politics, they also say resigning was the right move.

Disappointment was also a common word constituents used to describe how they felt about the sexting scandal and his resignation.

Many residents told News 12 Brooklyn they would have felt differently about Weiner had he been upfront and confessed his wrongdoing from the beginning.
