THE BRONX - A man with his sights on the state's top seat launched the first leg of his campaign tour for governor in New York City.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, a Republican, made his first stop in the historically Democratic Bronx, one day after announcing his candidacy.

He says he wants to get a jumpstart on securing votes against any other GOP candidates in the June primary, and possibly against Democratic incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the November election.

Astorino made clear his promise of change in Albany while speaking in front of the Bronx County courthouse, specifically wanting to keep residents in the state.
