Wet weather snarls morning commute

BROOKLYN - Rainy September skies are sticking around in Brooklyn today, making for flooded roads and a slow morning commute.

The Belt Parkway, a stretch that typically floods, is already collecting large puddles.

Drivers are advised to use caution and give themselves extra time today.

The school year officially opens for public schools tomorrow, which could bring more cars to city roadways. Commuters should brace for delays both today and tomorrow, officials say.
