BROOKLYN - The White House hosted its first ever Twitter town hall Wednesday.

Twitter co-founder and Executive Chairman Jack Dorsey moderated a conversation between President Obama and Americans across the country about the economy and jobs. Twitter users submitted questions using the hashtag #AskObama.

The White House says it wanted to reach the Twitter audience and answer questions in real-time.
