BROOKLYN - Longtime residents of Williamsburg and Greenpoint marked the eighth anniversary of a waterfront rezoning project with protest.

Neighbors complain that Mayor Michael Bloomberg broke promises he made in 2005 to create 3,500 affordable housing units in the area. They say only about 100 affordable apartments have been constructed, and that other developments favor newcomers who can afford luxury housing.

News 12 reached out to the mayor's office for comment, but has not heard back.
