Williamsburg's Odd Fellows ice cream thrives despite cold weather

BROOKLYN - A Williamsburg shop has been selling cones all winter season long, and it offers some very unusual flavors.

Odd Fellows on Kent Avenue prides itself on using high-quality ingredients and making everything from scratch. 

Rather than typical flavors like chocolate and vanilla, the ice cream shop carries everything from extra virgin olive oil, to saffron passion fruit, to maple bacon pecan.

Co-owner Mohan Kumar says during the winter months, they have made most of their profit from delivery orders.

The shop opened last June. Owners donate 10 cents from each serving to the Food Bank for New York City.
