Williamsburg salons collect hair for oil spill

BROOKLYN - Two salons in Williamsburg are collecting fur and hair cuttings to send to Gulf Coast oil spill efforts.

Dog Addiction, a grooming center for pets, will be collecting fur and salon Woodley & Bunny is collecting hair. The fur and hair will be used to soak up the oil.

On Wednesday and Thursday,Woodley & Bunny is giving $10 hair cuts. Dog Addiction will be taking $20 off and offering three complimentary days of daycare.

All of the hair will be donated to Matter of Trust an organization that has collected more than 450,000 pounds of hair from across the country.
