Winds cause bricks to fall from BK building

BROOKLYN - Strong winds caused part of the façade of a Broadway junction house to collapse Sunday.

Tenants say bricks from 2271 Pacific St. started to crash down just before noon. Emergency responders roped off the area and secured three adjacent homes to prevent injuries.

The Office of Emergency Management says the structures are stable despite the damage to the outer walls.

The Department of Buildings, however, says it has issued violations to 2271 Pacific St. and the three surrounding buildings.
