WINDSOR TERRACE - Residents in Windsor Terrace were braving the deep freeze today, which was made worse for some convenience store employees by a partial blackout.

At J & H Farm, employees were left waiting for Con Edison after a partial blackout caused by an electrical problem.

Store manager James Kim says the cold is helping his produce stay fresh, but he wants the heat and electricity back, especially for the building's upstairs tenants.

Parents waiting for their children at a nearby school say they think today should have been a day off because the weather was so cold.

Temperatures will remain below freezing tonight, though the weekend will be mild with rain.
