WINDSOR TERRACE - Community boards are increasing efforts to protect their female residents and neighborhoods after more than a dozen sexual attacks in the area.

The community of Windsor Terrace is now handing out flyers offering a $12,000 reward for anyone who comes forward with information on the suspect.

Community Board 7 District Manager Jeremy Laufer says the sexual assaults have shed new light on the danger zones in the community. Several lights which were out around the Prospect Avenue subway station when an attack occurred are now repaired.

A request is in the process of being submitted to install cameras in subway stations in the communities of Windsor Terrace and Sunset Park.Free self-defense class held in Sunset Park
