BROOKLYN - Winter sports lovers across the city will miss out on Winter Jam 2012 in Prospect Park.

The city Parks Department has canceled this year's event due to the warm temperatures. Officials say it's not even cold enough to make snow.

Winter Jam has been a tradition for the last 10 years. It offers New Yorkers of all ages a chance to try winter sports for free.
