BROOKLYN - The borough woke up to winter weather that had most people double checking their calendars.

Overnight snow and dropping temperatures left many cars and roads covered in a layer of white ice for the morning commute.

Residents were forced to dig out their warm coats again and bundle up as they headed outdoors for the day.

The unseasonable weather is temporary. Spring is expected to make a quick comeback with a beautifully sunny weekend ahead.
