Witness: Blood on baton could be Mineo's

BROOKLYN - The prosecution finished presenting its case Wednesday against three NYPD officers accused in the alleged sodomy of Michael Mineo.

A criminologist testified that a speck of blood found on the baton of Officer Richard Kern could be linked to Mineo, who has accused Kern of sodomizing him in a Brooklyn train station.

Kern is charged with aggravated sexual abuse and assault. He is on trial with two other officers, Alex Cruz and Andrew Morales, who are accused of covering up the attack. They are charged with hindering prosecution and official misconduct.

All the officers have denied any wrongdoing.
