Witnesses: Man hit by car, launched into dumpster

BROOKLYN - A man was rushed to the hospital Monday morning after witnesses say he was struck by a car and launched into a double-parked dumpster.

The incident happened at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and 15th Street. Witnesses say the man may have been crossing the street against the light. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Residents say Fourth Avenue is a dangerous street to cross, especially if you don?t wait for the right of way.

Police say the driver was ticketed for excessive speeding and driving without a license.
