Woman, 2 teens wounded in Bushwick shootout

BROOKLYN - Police say three people have been wounded in a shootout in Bushwick.Officials say the incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. Friday on Central Avenue. Police say they arrived at the scene after receiving reports of gunshots and found a 19-year-old teen carrying a handgun. According to officers, the teen refused to drop the weapon and opened fire. Police returned fire, striking the teen in the torso.According to police, a 17-year-old boy was shot by the suspect moments earlier. Cops say a 43-year-old woman trying to get children off the street was also wounded.Officials say the woman is in serious condition and the 17-year-old is in stable condition. The condition of the 19-year-old is not known.
